Mega Magnetic Tile Review Series: Magnesia Magnetic Tiles Review

A big thanks to AMIT M at Amazon for providing Magnesia Tiles to be used in our Mega Magnetic Tile Review Series.  These tiles are currently $65.99 on Amazon.  Averaging $0.66 per tile, these magnetic tiles are affordably priced.

This 100-piece set includes the following shapes:

Read on for more details!

Appearance: Magnesia Tiles have a slightly concave design (the main middle portion of the tile is indented).  This is done to protect the tile from scratching, even after long-term use.  They are made with high grade ABS that is BPA-free and Phthalate-free.  They have been Ultrasonic welded, with rivets as double insurance for safety.  Instead of inside lattice supports that other brands have been utilizing, Magnesia Tiles have one central stabilizer stamp in the middle of each tile.  They are colored translucent red, blue, green, yellow, and purple.

Magnetic Strength:  I would rank the magnetic strength of Magnesia Tiles as great.  See below for specifics.

Safety: Conforms to applicable tests, like the EN71 and ASTM F963 (plus CPSIA).

Company:  Magnesia Tiles aim for their customers to be fully satisfied.  Customers have a 30-day return window.  They have been responsive and courteous in all our interactions.

Unique Traits: My toddler LOVE the play figures with the metal bases. There are also specialty square pieces with a circle magnet in the center that the figures can stick onto.  Magnesia Tiles is the only set I know of with play figures that stick to the specialty square tiles. Shape Mags have play figures but they lack the metal bases.

Here are creations using Magnesia Tiles, courtesy of my littles.

Once again, I recommend that you have 60-80 magnetic tiles per child to cut down on frustrations and arguments.  You will be amazed at the creativity of your kids!

Thanks for reading and stay tuned because there are more brands to come in this mega review series.  If you missed the first in the series, you can read it here.
